WEIRD AND WONDERFUL MUSIC INSTRUMENTS

An interactive music show which also supports the topic on ‘Sound’

A weird collection of musical instruments help Adrian show how sound is produced from the various families of instruments. Pupils are involved with singing, dancing, marching and playing instruments. Adrian tries to see how many instruments he can play at once in a one man band

Instruments used include banjo, bass drum, charango, conch, double bass, fife, frog guiro, gourd cabassa, guitar, harmonica, jaw harp, jingle stick, pan pipes, phono fiddle, swanee whistle, tambourine, thunder maker, watering can.

An excellent, fully interactive show. The children were totally involved and interested throughout. The show was entertaining and taught the pupils a great deal about how sound is made on the various instruments.

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF MUSIC INSTRUMENTS
A Musical Journey for Key Stage 2 pupils

Using practical examples, Adrian shows why and how musical instruments started and developed. The science of how sound is produced from the various families of instruments is demonstrated.
The children are taken on a musical journey, learning about instruments from around the world and seeing them played.
There are opportunities for some pupils to try out some of the instruments.

Instruments used include animal horn, banjo, bugle, charango, conch, double bass, drum, fife, guitar, harmonica, jaw harp, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, ocarina, pan pipes, phono fiddle, ukulele, whistles
